HD Projectors & LCD Projectors | Things you need to know

High definition or HD refers to the resolution of the display. And, LCD or liquid crystal display is the technology used in a projector. Projectors come with fixed resolution. Resolution refers to the number of pixels projected on the screen. Do you remember the times you played with your school projector? You should have seen those dots on the screen and wondered what they are. Well, they are the pixels we talk about here. They were visible to you because of the lower projector resolution. When the resolution is high, we can see a finer image.

HD Projectors

Choosing the right resolution is pivotal. You don’t want to end up with high definition movies, but with a low-resolution projector. Higher the resolution, the higher the quality of the projected image. There are a variety of manufacturers who sell different types of projectors, with different resolutions. Best Buy shops are available in Miami, Florida, for you to grab your right projector.  HD projectors pack  1980×1080 pixels. Projectors are also available in XGA, WXGA, and 4K resolution. The resolution is even higher in 4K projectors (4096×2160 pixels).

Epson Home Theatre TW650 1080p 3LCD Projector is a good product. It features Full HD (1080p) resolution and has a 3100 lumens rating. This product will well suit you at your home in Weston, Florida, or in any other part of the world.

LCD Projectors

LCD projectors are super cheap, light, and reliable than the conventional CRT projectors. Hence, CRTs were easily replaced by LCD projectors. But, newer technologies, like Digital Light Projection or DLP, are already replacing LCD. Even then, DLPs are not as affordable as LCD projectors. And this makes them a very valuable competitor in the market.

How do they Work?

LCD projectors are also called 3LCD projectors. The projection system has a light source, 2 dichroic mirrors, a reflective normal mirror, and 3 LCD panels. Metal-halide light sources, used in LCD projectors, can produce a broad and accurate spectrum of color. They can produce high light intensity as well.

The light output from the source is passed through each dichroic filter. The source light is split into its RGB components and focused on the LCD screen behind the lens in the projector. This way, it can produce sharper images. The projector also packs a cooling system to cool down the circuit and reduce the chances of circuit-burn. The lens components let you focus the thrown image into a screen.

Things to remember while making a purchase

LCD projectors come with their problems as well. Even though they provide high-quality output, they are not the best. The image quality is usually better in CRT monitors than in an LCD monitor. Make sure that you understand all the available options in the market before you make a purchase.
